GST collection in Uttar Pradesh has increased by 16% According to the most recent figures, Uttar Pradesh's revenue from the Goods and Services Tax (GST) increased by 16% in April this year compared to April last year. The state of Uttar Pradesh's GST revenue has risen from Rs.7,355 crore in April 2021 to Rs.8,534 crore in April 2022. As a result of several proactive financial measures implemented by the state administration, Uttar Pradesh presently ranks fifth among states in terms of overall GST revenue collection. In terms of income collection, Uttar Pradesh trails Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. According to the figures, UP is far ahead of Kerala, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand in terms of percentage growth in GST revenue collection. The state was able to accomplish this achievement due to the government's good financial management.
