GST Council consider the possibility of including petroleum products under GST As per CNBC TV18 News, GST Council Secretariat has suggested that GST Council may consider the possibility of including petroleum products under GST. It is suggested that Council will deliberate & and make recommendations to include petroleum products & ATF under GST. According to Twitter, Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, will preside over the 45th GST Council meeting on September 17th, 2021 in Lucknow. The council members will debate a number of unresolved problems, including state compensation and GST rate revisions for Covid necessities.
