GST Council Extends Due date of filing GST Annual Return GSTR9, GSTR9A & GSTR9C

GST Council Extends Due date of filing GST Annual Return GSTR9, GSTR9A & GSTR9C from June 30, 2019 to August 31, 2019.

On account of difficulties being faced by taxpayers in furnishing the annual returns inFORM GSTR-9,FORM GSTR-9Aand reconciliation statement inFORM GSTR-9C, the due date for furnishing these returns/reconciliation statements to be extended till 31.08.2019

The same may be implemented by issuance or removal of difficulties (ROD) orders under section 172 of CGST Act. Similar orders would also be required to be issued by the states.
