The 57th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council, which was earlier scheduled for September 12, 2026, has now been postponed. According to an Office Memorandum issued by the GST Council Secretariat on September 6, the meeting will now be held on October 7, 2026, in New Delhi.

The meeting will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 7. The GST Council Secretariat has directed that the revised schedule be conveyed to all members of the Council.

The meeting of government officers, which was earlier scheduled for September 10 and 11, has also been rescheduled. The Officers’ Meeting will now take place on October 5 and 6 in New Delhi. The meeting on October 5 will begin at 3:00 PM, while the October 6 meeting will start at 10:30 AM.

The GST Council Secretariat said that details about the venue and the final agenda for both the GST Council meeting and the Officers’ Meeting will be shared at a later date.
