The GST department team has taken significant action in Gwalior. The crew raided the majestic and massive Imperial Golf Resort, located on the outskirts of the city and along the National Highway, and inspected the documents for around 16 hours. The GST team arrived and remained on-site. They also interrogated the staff.

According to reports, the team has discovered Rs.1.5 to 2 crore in GST evasion here so far. The proceedings that began here continued until late night and a team is still said to be inside the resort. The son of Madhya Pradesh BJP leader and former Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra is claimed to be one of the resort’s proprietors.

It was reported that a GST Bhopal team arrived in Gwalior on the morning of March 11. All associated information was kept strictly secret. The team that arrived from Bhopal also called Gwalior GST officers and, without informing them of the mission, forced them to sit in their vehicles and drive to the region’s most grand, massive, and expansive Imperial Golf Resort, which is located on the National Highway.

The team members entered inside posing as customers as there is tight security outside the resort. As soon as he reached inside, he informed the police officers and the force of Sirol police station also reached there. The proceedings that started here continued till late night while a team is still said to be inside the resorts.

Rohit Wadhwa and Anshuman Mishra, the city’s premier builders, are said to own this resort. Anshuman Mishra is the son of Dr. Narottam Mishra, a Madhya Pradesh-based BJP leader and key Home Minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet. The GST team also contacted both directors during the probe. However, this has not yet been confirmed.

If sources are to be believed, the GST team had already done a lot of homework and hence, after preliminary investigation, it detected GST evasion of about Rs.1.5 to 2 crores. Currently, the investigation of the documents found here is going on, after which this figure is likely to increase further.

Imperial Golf Resort is located on the Jhansi Bypass, near Nainagir hamlet, on the Delhi National Highway, which leads from Gwalior. This resort is located in the Sirol police station area and spans several acres of land. Aside from numerous wedding venues, it includes large restaurants and elegant lodgings. Aside from rich people’s weddings, several BJP events are held here.
