GST Dept. Issues Circular Regarding Physical Verification of ‘High Risk Score’ GST Registration Applications Recently, GST department has issued an official circular dated July 23, 2025, regarding the physical verification of ‘High Risk Score’ GST registration applications.

The Competent Authority has come to the notice of several examples of GSTIs/Field Functionaries to whom the physical verification visit of 'High Risk Score' Registration Applications are marked, who are not timely submitting the verification reports and in some cases the report is submitted with remarks that show the address mentioned in the ARN is not in their jurisdiction.

The Competent Authority has taken a serious note of the aforementioned conduct of officials and directed that it is  essential for the GSTI to conduct the visit and submit the report on time. Note: Any failure to fulfil the responsibility will be viewed negatively and will suffer strict consequences as per the rules, says Assistant Commissioner.
