GST E-invoicing enabled for taxpayers having AATO between Rs.5 to Rs.10 Crore for testing purposes
According to a recent update available on GST E invoice Portal, e-invoice system taxpayers having an annual turnover of more than Rs. 5 crores are enabled for testing on the Sandbox system.
On 18th July 2022, Testing was enabled for the taxpayers having AATO between Rs 10 crores to Rs 20 crores on e-invoicing API-sandbox.
Note: CBIC is yet to notify the date from which the above taxpayers will be required to generate e-invoices.
E-Invoice is a system in which B2B invoices are authenticated electronically by GSTN for further use on the common GST portal. Every invoice will receive an identification number under the electronic invoicing system from the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP), which will be run by the GST Network (GSTN).
E-invoicing started in October 2020 and was made mandatory for entities with a turnover of Rs 500 crore and above. Later on, government made amendments and reduce the threshold for mandatory e-invoicing to above Rs.100 crore. From Effective Date 1/04/2022 the threshold hold limit reduce to Turnover above Rs.20 crore.
