GST E-Way Bill: 2-Factor Authentication for all taxpayers with AATO above Rs.20 Cr mandatory w.e.f. 1st Nov
The GST e-invoice system issued an Update on their portal, mandating 2-Factor Authentication for all taxpayers with Aggregate Annual Turnover exceeding Rs.20 Cr, which will be effection from November 1, 2023.
2-Factor Authentication (2FA) offers an extra layer of protection to the e-Way Bill/e-Invoice System login process. To access the system, users will now need to authenticate themselves using a One-Time Password (OTP) in addition to their standard username and password.
Two-factor authentication is used to protect both the user’s credentials and the resources that the user has access to. After signing up for two-factor authentication, you can use it for the e-Invoice and e-Way bill systems.
