GST Officer And other arrested by Haryana ACB in Bribery and illegal Money Collection matters

The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Haryana’s Gurugram Division has made two arrests for corruption and bribery.

The team has arrested the accused Rajender Singh for his involvement in corruption. A case was filed against the accused on December 9, 2023, under several sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The ACB team later confirmed the case and held the accused on April 1, 2024.

According to the information provided, the accused and his accomplice in Gurugram used to collect monthly payments from trucks and send them over to the then-Motor Vehicle Officer.

Similarly, in another case, the ACB team from Gurugram Division arrested GST Inspector Jitender Barwar on bribery allegations. The accused currently works at the CGST Office in Gurugram.

The accused demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for completing pending government work. One of the accused has already been arrested in this case.
