GSTN Enhanced Registration Application GST REG-01 with respect to the address fields

The user interface (UI) for the address fields in the GST REG-01 Registration Application has been improved as follows:

Incorporation of a map tile, as well as the ability to drag and drop an address pinhead to the exact location of the applicant’s address.

Once selected, the information will be automatically filled in the application’s various address input fields.

Address fields have been linked so that the entry in one of these fields, particularly PIN Codes, will auto-fill other macro level address entry fields. For example, when you enter the PIN code, the corresponding State and Districts are automatically filled in.

The user can also directly fill out the address input fields, which are now aided by suggestive address input dropdowns from which the user can choose the appropriate/relevant address field (s). This action will reduce errors in address texts and make it easier for the user to fill out the appropriate address input fields.

The address fields have been appropriately separated to reduce confusion when entering the relevant inputs under various address heads.

The address’s Latitude/ Longitude will be auto-populated based on the address entries provided by the user and will be non-editable.
