GSTR 9 Annual Return Tab is available on GSTN Portal for filing Annual Return:

Finally GSTR 9 Annual Return Tab Live on GSTN Portal for filing GSTR9 Annual Return for F.Y 2017-18.

For Filing GSTR 9 GST annual Return on GST Portal, an option of Annual Return Tab has been enabled by the GSTN (Goods and Services Tax Network) which can be seen in below image and there is a high possibility that Annual GST Return Utility will soon be released.

For the financial year, 2017-2018, the GSTR-9 Form (Annual Return) due date was 31st December 2018 but later on CBIC has extended due date of filing GSTR9 to 30th June 2019 because of unavailability of Annual GST Return Utility.

Form GSTR-9 is an annual return to be filed once, for each financial year, by the registered taxpayers who were regular taxpayers, including SEZ units and SEZ developers. The taxpayers are required to furnish details of purchases, sales, input tax credit or refund claimed or demand created etc in this return. In the Annual Return for F.Y 2017-18, the details pertaining to the period from July 2017 to March 2018 are to be reported. In case, the taxpayer is registered after 1st July 2017, in such case, details for the period from the effective date of registration till 31st March, 2018 is to be provided in Annual Return.
