Gujarat GST Department Raids 28 Dry Fruit Traders The State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) department raided 51 sites associated to 28 sellers of dry fruits and nuts based on market intelligence. These merchants have offices in Ahmedabad, Surat, and Rajkot. According to information acquired by the tax department after these raids, these dealers reportedly conducted business worth at least Rs. 20 crore without paying any taxes. Thirty enterprises were raided in Ahmedabad, 14 in Surat, and seven in Rajkot. At most of them, differences were found between actual stock and what was accounted for.
