ICAI announced Deadline for Enrollment in Foundation/ Intermediate Course for Sep 2024/ Jan 2025 Examinations

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced enrollment deadlines for the CA Foundation/ Intermediate Course for the Sep 2024/ Jan 2025 Examinations.

The Institute has decided that beginning in May/June 2024, Intermediate and Foundation course examinations will be held three times a year in the months of May/June, September, and January, rather than twice a year, and CA Final course examinations will continue to be held twice a year in May and November.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the Foundation course examination, which include being registered with the Institute’s Board of Studies for at least four months on or before the first day of the month in which the examination is held, as well as other eligibility conditions specified in Regulation 25F and for the Intermediate Course Examination, a student who is registered with the Institute’s Board of Studies and produces a certificate indicating that he has completed a study course for at least eight months as of the first day of the month in which the examination is held, as well as the other eligibility conditions specified in Regulation 28G, may take the next eligible exam.

Students may note that as per the above eligibility criteria –

• The deadline for registering for the Foundation Course to appear in the September 2024 Examination is May 1, 2024.
• The last date for registration in the Intermediate Course for appearing in the January 2025 Examination is 1st May 2024 through both routes.

It should be noted that students who registered in the Intermediate Course either through the Foundation Route or the Direct Entry Route by January 1, 2024, are eligible to take the September 2024 Intermediate Examination.
