ICAI Announces CA January 2027 Exam Schedule; Check Dates and Timings:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the schedule for the January 2027 CA examinations. The announcement was issued by the ICAI Examination Department on September 23, 2026.

According to the notification, the CA Intermediate examinations will be conducted in January 2027. The Group 1 exams will be held on January 2, 4 and 6, while the Group 2 exams will take place on January 8, 10 and 12.

The CA Foundation exams are scheduled for January 3, 5, 7 and 9, 2027. Papers 1 and 2 will be conducted for two hours, while Papers 3 and 4 will also have a duration of two hours. The Intermediate examinations will be of three hours each.

The ICAI has said that the examination schedule will remain unchanged even if any examination date is declared a public holiday by the Central Government, State Government or local authorities.

For the Foundation exam, Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM, while Paper 3 and Paper 4 will be conducted from 2 PM to 4 PM. For Intermediate, all papers will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.

The notification also mentions that there will be 15 minutes of advance reading time for the Foundation Papers 1 and 2 and all Intermediate papers. For Foundation Papers 3 and 4, candidates will get reading time from 1:45 PM to 2 PM.

ICAI has further stated that the CA January 2027 examinations will be conducted at designated examination centres across India. The detailed list of examination cities will be provided by the institute.
