ICAI Calls for Collective Support to Aid Flood Victims Through the ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently made a public appeal, keeping in mind that the recent floods have adversely affected several states of India. The flood has caused major destruction in the country, destroyed homes and livelihoods, and disturbed the normal lives of thousands of people. In such difficult situations, ICAI has urged everyone to come together and help the affected people. ICAI says in such situations, unity, kindness, and collective support matter the most. Even a small contribution in such cases can play a big role in the lives of people in building new houses, getting back their basic needs, and bringing back hope in their lives.

To make this appeal effective, ICAI has created a special account called the “ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025.” The aim of this account is to collect money quickly and use it for immediate relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the flood and living in flood-affected areas. The key point to note is that this collected money will not stay with ICAI; instead, it will be transferred to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Donations made to PMNRF are eligible for a 100% deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Meaning, candidates who have donated the money and are eligible to file an Income Tax Return can claim the full donated amount as a deduction while filing their ITR, reducing their taxable income. Individuals interested in donation can do so at the following details shared by ICAI:
  • Account Name: ICAI FLOOD RELIEF FUND 2025
  • Bank Name: HDFC Bank
  • Account Number: 50100511383630
  • IFSC Code: HDFC0000422
  • Branch: VC 1, Sector 1, Vaishali, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh - 201010
