ICAI Enables Application for Verification of Answer Books, Certified Copies of Answer Books
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) enables application for verification of answer books, certified copies of answer books.
The following are included in the marks verification process:
1. Is the compilation of the answer book(s) complete?
2. Whether any question, or part of a question, has been left unanswered.
3. Whether any inquiry or total marks on the cover page has a totaling error.
4. Is there any inconsistency between the marks assigned to each question and/or portion of a question on the cover page of the answer book and the marks assigned to each question on the cover page of the answer book?
5. Whether the candidate’s handwriting is consistent across all response books.
The deadline to apply for answer book verification for Intermediate(IPC), Intermediate(IPC)-Units, Intermediate and Intermediate-Units December 2021 is March 25th, 2022. The deadline for submitting an application for inspection or certified copies of answer books – Intermediate(IPC), Intermediate(IPC)-Units, Intermediate & Intermediate-Units December 2021 is March 27th, 2022.
Inspection or Certified Copies of Answer Books – Final Old, Final New, and Foundation December 2021 and Apply For Verification of Answer Books – Final Old, Final New, and Foundation December 2021 have deadlines of March 11th and 9th, respectively.
Within a month of the results being announced, a candidate can apply for verification, either physically in his own handwriting or online at http://icaiexam.icai.org, providing particular details of the following, as well as the required fees:
If the candidate submits a physical application, it must be written in his or her own handwriting. If the individual took the exam in Hindi, his or her application should be in Hindi as well. Applications that are typewritten will not be considered.
There is no such thing as a standard format for such apps. The candidate must, however, sign the application in its entirety.
The physical application for verification, along with the payments, shall be delivered to the following address, by Speed Post or Registered Post, within one month of the date of the declaration of results:

Do not send your application by courier/ordinary post. Please superscribe the envelope with the name of the exam, i.e Final or Intermediate (IPC) as the case may be.
If you’re submitting a handwritten application for verification, you’ll need to include a demand for the verification fees. The demand draught should be made payable to “The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” and mailed with the application for verification.
If you’re submitting an online application for verification, you can pay the verification cost through the payment gateway with a debit or credit card.
