ICAI Hyderabad Conducts an Awareness Programme: Understanding New Tax Provisions under Income Tax Act 2025
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Hyderabad Branch of SIRC has successfully organised an event in collaboration with the Income Tax Department on April 16, 2026. This event was an awareness programme on the theme “Understanding the New Tax Provisions" under the Income Tax Act 2025.
The event was held from 5 pm to 8 pm at KLN Prasad Auditorium, FTCCI (Chamber of Commerce), Hyderabad. A large number of chartered accountants and tax professionals participated in it. The chief guest of the programme is Shri Shivraj B. Morey, who is the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax-1, Hyderabad. In his address, he stressed the need to understand the new income tax law and stay updated over time. In the program, many senior officials of the Income Tax Department explained the provisions of the new Income Tax Act 2025 in simple language through technical sessions. Among these are Shri Mookambikeyan S. (Additional CIT – Range 1), Ms Reema Yadav (Additional CIT - Range 6), Shri Mathivanan S. A. (JCIT, TDS Range 1), Shri Ravi Kiran (DCIT, Circle 3(1)), and Shri Shyam Kumar (DCIT, Circle 12(1)). All the speakers also explained the practical aspects based on their experience, which greatly benefited the participants. The programme started with the welcome address by CA Giridhari Lal Toshniwal, Chairman, ICAI Hyderabad Branch. He said that it is important for every professional to stay updated with the changing tax system, and such programs are very helpful in increasing knowledge. The programme has been conducted by the branch secretary, CA Kumar Pal Tated. He made the entire program proceed smoothly and coordinated all the sessions. More than 350 members participated in this program, which shows its success.
