ICAI Invites EOI for Empanelment of CA Firms for Statutory Audit The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the world's second largest accounting organisation and India's regulator of the accounting profession, has always cooperated in nation building and offered public service to the Indian economy. The function of auditors has expanded due to the fast changing economy, the entry of new age enterprises, start-ups, a growth in the number of companies going public, and a vast increase in regulatory and reporting obligations. In the face of rising expectations from auditors, the ICAI's Auditing and Assurance Standards Board has resolved to give appropriate support to members in practise in relation to Statutory Audit of Entities relevant to auditing aspects with the goal of improving audit quality this year. The Board is putting together a panel of experts who will be able to assist members with their questions and concerns on the subject. In this context, we are delighted to welcome expressions of interest for empanelment as a Subject Matter Expert for the formation of the Statutory Audit panel. The expert should have at least 5 years of statutory auditing expertise (Member should be proficient in Standards on Auditing, CARO, Internal Financial Controls with reference to Financial Reporting). During the Panel's tenure, the member should be willing to commit 3 to 4 hours per week for any 10 weeks. The Panel will be in session from April 16th to September 30th, 2022.
