ICAI Issues a Comprehensive and Updated Guide on Income-Tax Act, 2025
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a publication, “Income-tax Act, 2025 (As Amended by the Finance Act, 2026), Including Tabular Mapping of Sections vis-a-vis Income-tax Act, 1961”, a statutory body in the field of accounting and taxation in India. The First Edition in September, 2025 and Second Edition in March 2026.
This handbook provides an up-to-date presentation of the Income Tax Act, 2025 provisions in a systematic manner, effective from April 1, 2026. A key feature of the publication is “Tabular Mapping," through which a comparative analysis of the provisions of the new Act (2025) and the erstwhile Income Tax Act, 1961, is presented. This makes it easier for readers to understand the changes between the two laws.
