ICAI Organizes Nationwide Tax Clinics for Taxpayers; Resolving ITR Filing Issues

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organising Nationwide Tax Clinics to raise awareness and answer taxpayers’ questions about submitting their income tax returns.

These Tax Clinics, organized with the publication support of the Income Tax Department (PR, P&P), will be held on the 13th and 14th of July, 2023, through network of 168 branches and 5 Regional Councils of ICAI. The program is organised by the Direct Tax Committee of ICAI.

The goal of these Tax Clinics is to make India financially informed, tax compliant, and empowered by raising awareness among taxpayers and the general public about tax compliances related to submitting income tax returns.

Concerning the initiative CA. Aniket Sunil Talati, ICAI President said, “Tax Experts will be available during working hours at ICAI Bhawan across India to address queries and provide guidance on income tax return filing. The Tax Clinics will not only help taxpayers grasp the complexities of the law, but they will also boost public awareness about the significance of submitting income tax returns and enhance the country’s taxpayer base.”

The ICAI emphasises the need of filing returns early to minimise last-minute problems and encourages taxpayers to report all taxable income.

The event is being organised by 168 branches and 5 Regional Councils at the ICAI Bhawan. ICAI welcomes the taxpayers for the same.
