ICAI Recommended Many provisions of CA, CWA, and CS (Amendment) Bill, 2022 Says President Debashis Mitra

During Addressing CA, CWA, and CS (Amendment) Bill, 2022 ICAI President Said many Provisions of the bill were recommended by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Changes in the composition of the board of discipline and disciplinary committee, as well as the fixation of timelines for various processes, the formation of a coordination committee of professional institutes, and the power to take action against the Firm’s are some of the provisions in the bill that affect the profession.

Many of the provisions, such as the capacity to take action against firms, the heavy penalty for falsely claiming to be a member, the maintenance of a register of firms, and the duration of the council periods, were previously suggested by the ICAI.
