ICAI Releases Quick Referencer for Tax Audit u/s 44AB
The Taxation Audits Quality Review Board Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a publication based on provisions applicable to conducting Tax Audits for the Assessment Year (AY) 2023-24.
The Due Date for Tax Audit Report u/s 44AB for Assessment Year (AY) 2023-24 is 30th September 2023.
Section 44AB provides that the assessee to whom the said section applies should get accounts of the relevant previous year audited by an accountant. For the purpose of this section, “accountant” has been defined under section 288(2) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
