ICAI removes names of CAs from register of members for non-payment of fees [Read Notification] The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has removed the names of 5547 Chartered Accountants from the register of members for non-payment of fees. ICAI notified this removal of names via issuing a notification. The Notification Read as follows: In pursuance of Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, it is hereby notified that in the exercise of the powers conferred by Section 20(1) (C) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has removed the names of the following persons from the Register of Members of this Institute with effect from 01/10/2022 on account of non-payment of prescribed fees.
