ICMR Recruitment 2023: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)- National Institute of Nutrition has invited candidates for the post of Project Sr. Technical Assistant, Project Assistant (Phlebotomist), Project Field Worker, and Project MTS. There are a total of 14 vacancies for various posts. The selected candidates will have to work on a pan-India study project funded by ICMR entitled “Diet and Biomarker Survey in India (DABS-I)“. As per the ICMR recruitment 2023 notification, the selected candidates will be employed for a 6-month tenure.
According to the ICMR recruitment 2023 official notification, this is a field-based job that will require extensive travel to different districts of Maharashtra State. Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from Rs 15,800 to Rs 32,000 per month. Candidates will be selected based on the interview. The interview will be conducted at the Deputy Director Health Services Campus, Bureau of Nutrition, Matakacheri, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
As per the official notification for the ICMR recruitment 2023, candidates will have to submit the application form by hand on the date of the walk-in interview itself. The walk-in interview is scheduled for 22.05.2023. Applications will be submitted between 9:30 am to 11:30 am on the same day. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the venue after 11:30 am.

According to the ICMR recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential qualifications required for various posts are given below:
Project Sr. Technical Assistant:
Graduate in Anthropology/Social Sciences/Sociology/Science/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Zoology/Nursing/Social Work from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR
Postgraduate degrees in specified subjects will be treated as two years of experience.
Project Assistant (Phebotomist):
Graduate in Medical Lab Technology from a recognized university OR 2 years of DMLT or 1 year of relevant experience (Blood Sample Collection) OR B.Sc. Nursing OR 2 years Nursing with 1 year of relevant experience (Blood Sample Collection)
Project Field Worker:
12th Pass in Science Subjects from a recognized organization AND 2 years of experience in field studies (B.Sc. Life Sciences degree will be treated at par with 3 years of experience)
Project MTS:
High School or Equivalent from a recognized university
NOTE: Selected candidates for all posts must be willing to work in the field and able to understand the local language.
As per the ICMR Recruitment 2023 official notification, the desired skill/qualification/experience required for various posts is mentioned below:
Project Sr. Technical Assistant: Experience conducting anthropometry and mobile/tablet-based data collection in the field or community studies will be preferred.
Project Assistant (Phlebotomist): Candidates having experience in Blood Sample collection from Human Participants, and processing, labeling, storage, and transport under cold chain will be given preference.
Project Field Worker: Candidates having a minimum of 1-year experience in Data collection from field or community studies will be given preference.
As per the details mentioned in the ICMR Recruitment 2023 official notification, the salary for various posts are:
Project Sr. Technical Assistant: Rs 32,000 per month
Project Assistant (Phlebotomist): Rs 31,000 per month
Project Field Worker: Rs 18,000 per month
Project MTS: Rs 15,800 per month
As per the ICMR Recruitment 2023 notification, the upper age limit for different posts is given below:
Project Sr. Technical Assistant: 30 years
Project Assistant (Phlebotomist): 30 years
Project Field Worker: 30 years
Project MTS: 25 years
NOTE: The upper age limit will be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Per the ICMR Recruitment 2023 notification, candidates must submit their application form by hand on the walk-in interview day. The walk-in interview will be organized on 22/05/2023. The application form is available on the official website of the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN). Candidates must also submit one set of self-attested photocopies of all the relevant documents and a recent passport-size photograph along with the application form. Candidates will also have to bring their original documents for verification on that day. Candidates will be allowed entry from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for a walk-in-interview on 22nd May 2023. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the interview venue after 11:30 am.
