In accordance with the official notification of ICMR Recruitment 2023, the total number of 13 vacancies available for the post of Computer Programmer (Grade A), Project Scientist, Project Admin Assistant, Project Section Officer, Project Scientist- C (Medical), Project Technical Officer (Statistics), Project Scientist- B (Medical) and Computer Programmer (Grade B).

As mentioned in the official notification of ICMR Recruitment 2023, the required qualification and experience are given below-

For Project Scientist-C (Medical)-

• Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one-year research experience. Or
• MBBS degree with four years of research experience.

Desirable-

• MD/MS/DNB in Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Pathology/ Obstetrics and Gynecology/ from a recognized University for candidates with first-class relevant degree/Master of Public Health.
• Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in the relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Trained in Public Health / Epidemiology/Research Methodology.
• Post Graduate Qualification in Epidemiology or Public Health (MAE/MPH/MSc/Ph.D etc.) or 2 years experience in cancer or other NCD epidemiology/NPCDCS Programme etc.
• Work experience in Health systems/ policy.

For Project Technical Officer (Statistics)-

• Graduate in Statistics / Biostatistics from a recognized university with five years of work experience from a recognized institution. Or
• Master’s degree in Statistics / Biostatistics from a recognized university. Knowledge of statistics-related computer software like SPSS, R, EPI-INFO, EPISTATA & application packages like MS Office. Two years post MSc research experience particularly in survival analysis/ cancer registry.

Desirable-

• Knowledge of statistics-related computer software like SPSS, R, EPI-INFO, EPISTATA & application packages like MS Office. Two years post MSc research experience particularly in survival analysis/ cancer registry.

For Project Scientist – B (Medical)-

• MBBS degree with one-year Research/Teaching experience. Or
• MD/MS in Community Medicine/ Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Pathology/ObGyn/ from a recognized university. Or
• MBBS with MPH (2 years).

Desirable-

• Post Graduate Qualification in Epidemiology MHA or Public Health (MAE/MPH/MSc/Ph.D. etc).
  Work experience in NCDs / epidemiology/NPCDCS Programme, Health system, policy etc.
• Research/teaching experience in the relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• Trained in Public Health/Epidemiology/ Research methodology.

For Project Technical Officer (Statistics)-

• Graduate in Statistics / Biostatistics from a recognized university with five years of work experience from a recognized institution. Or
• Master’s degree in Statistics / Biostatistics from a recognized university.

Desirable-

• Knowledge of statistics-related computer software like SPSS, EPI-INFO, EPISTAT & application packages like MS Office.
• Two years post-M.Sc research experience particularly in survival analysis/ cancer registry.

For Project Admin Assistant-

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with five years of experience in administration or finance/accounts work.

Desirable-

• Knowledge of preparation of Budget, finalization of accounts, maintenance of cash book in a double entry system, ledger etc.
• Knowledge of government rules governing Finance/ Accounts and Establishment matters and principles of audit of accounts.
• Experience in handling Administrative / Accounts / Establishments / Purchases and Stores.
• Working Knowledge of Computer and MS-office.
