ICSI Extends Last Date for Obtaining Mandatory CPE Credits for Year 2022-23
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) has extended Last Date For Obtaining the Mandatory CPE Credits for the Year 2022-23 till June 30, 2023.
The ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines, 2019 were issued by the Institute effective from April 1, 2020, to enable the members to maintain the optimum level of professional competence and to ensure high quality and standards in the professional services rendered by them.
According to Paragraph 5.2.2 of the Guidelines, all members of the Institute, excluding those indicated in Paragraph 5.1, are required to obtain 20 CPE Credits each year through organised and unstructured learning programmes. However, no carryover of excess CPE Credits from one year to the next will be permitted.
In order to facilitate the members in fulfilling the mandatory requirement of CPE Credits for the year commencing April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, the Council of the Institute has extended the last date for obtaining the mandatory CPE credits by the members till May 31, 2023.
However, with a view to further facilitate the members, the last date for obtaining the mandatory CPE credits for the year 2022-23 has further been extended till June 30, 2023.
The members are advised to utilise this last opportunity and complete their CPE Credits for the year 2022-23 as per ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines, 2019 latest by June 30, 2023.
Please note that CPE Credits obtained in the extended period by those members who have already completed their mandatory CPE Credits for the year April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 as per ICSI (Continuous Professional Education) Guidelines, 2019, shall be counted in the year April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
