The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has notified about its First BI-Annual Eastern Region Convocation that is going to held in December 2023.

The Institute is organizing the first bi-annual Convocation of FY 2022-23 of the Eastern Region for awarding the certificate of membership to its Associate and Fellow members admitted during the period from 1st October, 2022 to 31st March, 2023 and also to award prizes/medals to meritorious students (National) and winner students of national level competitions.

The details are given below:

Eligible members are cordially invited to attend the Eastern Region Convocation. The list of eligible members is also uploaded on the website of the Institute. Eligible members shall be admitted to the Convocation venue subject to their confirming participation by 5:00 p.m. of 3rd December, 2023 through online submission of the Registration Form at the available at official ICSI Website.

Request for change of region will not be entertained.

If an eligible member does not attend this Convocation or does not confirm his/her attendance, he/she will not be allowed to participate in any subsequent Convocation, and his/her original certificate will be mailed to his/her mailing address on file with the Institute after the Convocation.

Eligible participants should bring one Identity proof namely, Membership Card of the Institute/ Voter Id Card/ Driving License/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Passport for allowing entry into the venue and for registration.

The Members shall come wearing the following Indian attire/dress for the Convocation ceremony:

  • Male members shall wear white/cream coloured ‘kurta’ and white/cream coloured ‘pyjama’ with black/brown sandals or shoes.
  • Female members shall wear white/cream-coloured sarees with any colour border or white/cream coloured ’kameej’ with white/cream coloured ‘salwar’, white/cream coloured ‘dupatta’ with black/brown shoes or sandals.
  • There shall not be any headgear (excluding Sikhs).

An “Angvastra”, made of Khadi, shall be issued to the members permanently at the time of registration, which they would have to wear around their neck and shoulders.

Members may also carry their ICSI lapel pin/ member’s badge for putting on the Indian attire/dress.

Eligible participants may also note the following:

  • One has to make his/her own travel and stay arrangements.
  • No person shall be allowed to attend the Convocation as one’s representative.
  • There is NO “On the Spot” registration counter so eligible participants will have to register themselves through Google form before the last date
