IGNOU January 2024 Admission: Extension Granted for Re-registration in January 2024 Session

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended deadline for re-registration for the January 2024 session until March 20, 2024. However, the extension comes with a late fee of Rs. 200. The University has announced an extension for re-registration in the January 2024 session, allowing students more time to complete their registration process. With a late fee of Rs. 200, students now have until March 20, 2024, to submit their re-registration forms.

The re-registration portal is now open for both Indian and International students, offering a convenient platform for submission and online payment processing.

Important Dates for IGNOU January 2024 Admission:

  • Re-registration Start Date: December 5, 2023.
  • Deadline with late fee: March 20, 2024

Students are advised to adhere to the following instructions before proceeding:

Instructions for Re-registration IGNOU January 2024:

  1. If you are a new user, click on the “New Registration” button to create an account. Ensure that you provide accurate mobile numbers and email IDs to receive important updates and confirmations.
  2. Carefully select your courses as per the details provided in the Programme Guide. Changing courses at a later stage may lead to a loss of study time.
  3. Students are advised to exercise caution while making online payments. Do not share your card details or OTP with anyone. Utilize your own card/net banking for payments. Payment options such as UPI and BHIM UPI App are also available.
  4. It is advisable not to wait until the last date for submission of re-registration forms.
  5. If your online payment does not reflect immediately, refrain from making a second payment. Wait for a day, check the payment status, and then proceed accordingly.
  6. If you accidentally make double payments for the same application, one of the payments will be refunded to your account.
  7. If using third-party services for form submission, ensure that courses are selected correctly and payment is successfully processed. Obtain a printout of the submitted form and payment confirmation for record-keeping.
