Qualification and Experience Required for IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023:

As per IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023, the required qualification and experience for Student Counselor is given below:

Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average with relevant experience of 6 years after the qualifying degree, out of which 3 years should be in counseling at an academic/medical institution OR

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average and a diploma in Mental and/or Social Psychology with relevant experience of 6 years after the diploma, out of which 3 years should be in counseling at an academic/medical institution.

For applicants with Ph.D. degrees in relevant disciplines, a duration of a Ph.D. of up to 3 years would be counted towards experience.

Desirable-

• Additional certifications in Mental Health or Counselling.
• Candidates required good verbal, and written skills, and the ability to communicate adequately with diverse students and various stakeholders.
• Candidates have at least 3 years of experience in psychological counseling of young adults living in a fully residential campus of an academic institution of repute.

Salary for Recruitment 2023:

As given in the notification of IIT Bombay recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will be paid a salary in the pay scale of Level 10 between Rs. 56100 to Rs. 177500

Selection Process for Recruitment 2023:

According to the IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of eligibility and will e called for interviews and written tests.

Shortlisted candidates will be called on the order of merit based on how well candidates performed on the written test, only selected candidates will be contacted for the last step of the selection process, which includes an interview. The ultimate decision will be made through an interview. Soft copies of applications given to Institute Authorities through email will not be reviewed during the selection process.
