IIT JAM 2023 Registration Starts; Check How to Apply and Other Imp Details Here
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati opened registration for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2023 today 07.09.2022. Online registration for the exam is available at the IIT Guwahati website. The IIT JAM 2023 exam registration deadline is October 11.
On February 12, 2023, the JAM 2023 examination will take place. On March 22, 2023, the entrance’s outcome will be made public. Candidates can apply for JAM 2023 if they want to enrol in a variety of postgraduate programmes, including integrated PhD programmes in mathematics, economics, physics, and chemistry.
IIT JAM: Every year, on a rotating basis, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) administers the Joint Admission Test (JAM) for MSc (Masters of Sciences) in India on behalf of the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore offers integrated PhD programmes, as well as MSc and other post-graduate programmes. The IIT JAM is held to grant admission to candidates in these programmes. In addition, JAM scores are also accepted for MSc admissions by a number of Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and the National Institute of Technology (NITs).
i. IIT Guwahati had set various requirements for participation in IIT JAM 2023, including:
ii. Candidates need to be bachelor’s degree holders. Prior to 2023, there existed a cutoff for the undergraduate exams based on the student’s cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
iii. Candidates who will take graduation examinations in 2023 may also apply as long as they produce documentation of their graduation by September 2023.
iv. Only applicants who pass the IIT JAM in 2023 will be considered for admission.
v. The IIT JAM 2023 has no age restriction for participants.
IIT JAM 2023 won’t have a new exam format. The exam will be a three-hour computer-based test (CBT), administered in two slots or shifts. There are 60 questions, for a total of 100 marks.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Numerical Answer Type (NAT), and Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) are the three categories into which the questions will be classified (MSQs). Each incorrect response in Section A of the exam will result in a deduction of marks.

iii. A new registration/login page would appear.
iv. Use the generated credentials to sign up and log in.
v. To apply for IIT JAM 2023, complete the form.
vi. Fill out the form and submit the requested documents.
vii. Pay the fee and submit the form.
viii. Print out the page for your records.
