Income tax Department Raids 24 locations in Bihar Income tax Department conducted raids at nearly 24 business establishments and houses of the owners of business establishments here on wednesday in connection with tax evasion by business establishments. In the early hours of the morning, more than 200 income tax officers from Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Katihar, Deoghar, and other locations arrived here and began conducting searches at the commercial buildings of a prominent jeweller, which has branches in Bhagalpur, Purnia, and Deoghar. In addition, the offices of a gas station owner, land developer, brick kiln owner, real estate agent, hotel owner, and others were searched. According to sources, simultaneous surveys and raids are being carried out in Purnia, Katihar, Deoghar, and Kolkata, in addition to locations in the Bhagalpur district such as Sultanganj, Kahalgaon, Baijani, Lodipur, Nathnagar, Mirjanhat Road, and others. Several businesses, including Hariom Laxminarayan Jewellers, Hotel Panchwati, Shivam Petrol Pump, and the offices of real estate brokers Bijay Yadav, Aniket Kumar, Dilip Rai, Hari Prasad Sharma, Jonnie Santhalia, Manish Jalan, Pankaj Kumar, Suman Sisodia, Sudarshan Singh, Mithilesh Yadav, and Ravi Jalan, among others, are the targets.
