Income Tax Raids at Gutka Manufacturer’s Premises Gujarat Gujarat Income Tax's various teams searched the premises of a chemicals company and a gutka manufacturer in Dhrangadhra and Gandhidham, respectively. The department recently completed a search operation in Ahmedabad for a firework distributor. The searches were conducted at Kandla's Special Economic Zone (SEZ). They further claimed that the manufacturer misused licences to produce and sell gutka in the country. The raids were conducted at four locations to determine tax evasion. The residences of two people involved in manufacture and distribution were also investigated. Similarly, another search was conducted in Dhrangadhra at the chemical company and related companies. The latest financial activities by the chemicals firm were on the radar of the Income Tax department, and the search was conducted on suspicion of tax evasion.
