Income Tax Refund: Taxpayers need to Validate Bank Account to get Refund

The Income Tax Department has issued a warning kind of reminder to taxpayer, if they want their income tax refund, they need to validate their bank account. Please check bank account validation status on e-filing portal. Receipt of refund requires a validated bank account on e-filing portal and then nominating it for refund.

The Tax Department stated as, “Kind Attention Taxpayers! Your refund can only be credited into a validated bank account. So, please check bank account validation status on e-filing portal.”

Taxpayers have to visit income tax e-filing portal and then Login and visit My Profile and the search for My Bank Account Tab. Here you will get option to Revalidate/Add Bank Account.

Prior validated bank accounts may require updation and re-validation due to changes in bank account details.
