• The candidates must possess a degree from any recognized University.

Leading Hand Fireman –

• maintaining a comparable position in the firefighting cadre in the parent cadre or department on a regular basis with a grade salary of Rs. 2000 (Revised pay Level-3 in the pay matrix) in salary Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200. Alternatively, having three years of regular service in the grade of Fireman I or an equivalent grade in Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200/-, with a grade pay of Rs. 1900/- (Revised pay Level-2 in the pay matrix), or equivalent in the parent cadre or department, and meeting the requirements listed below.

Possessing the following qualifications –

• A matriculation pass from an accredited board or its equivalent is required of the candidate.
• The candidate must have one year of experience using both small and large firefighting appliances and equipment, as well as experience keeping records at the fire station.
• The candidate should be capable of independently managing shifts and training, directing, and controlling the fire crew’s operations. Additionally, the applicant must be physically healthy and able to handle demanding tasks.

Desirable –

• The applicant should possess prior expertise in using, maintaining, and operating various firefighting equipment and equipment. The applicant should also have prior experience as a firefighter in a regular civil or defence fire brigade.
