Indian Navy Recruitment 2023: Indian Navy is inviting applications from eligible and willing candidates through IN website for the various posts of Tradesman Skilled. Selected candidates normally will have to serve in NADs under the administrative control of Headquarters, Western Naval Command, Mumbai, and Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, but they can be posted anywhere in India at Naval units/formations as per administrative requirements. Candidates should apply for one post only. As per the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 rhere are a total of 248 vacancies for the given posts.
Based on the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, interested candidates may apply for the given posts on the official website. The last date for applying for the posts on the Online Registration Portal is the 28th day from the opening date of registration (up to 2330 hrs).
As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, applications are invited for the following posts in various trades.
1. Machinist
2. Driver Crane Mobile
3. Shipwright (Joiner)
4. Painter
5. Fitter Armament
6. Fitter General Mechanic (GW)
7. Fitter Electronic (GW)
8. Fitter Electrical (GW)
9. Electronic Fitter
10. General Mechanic Fitter
11. Skilled (Ammunition Mechanic)
12. Torpedo Fitter
13. Driver Crane
There are a total of 248 vacancies for the given posts.
The age of the eligible candidate should be between 18 and 25 years as on crucial date which will be the closing date for receipt of online applications.
(A) For Skilled (Ammunition Mechanic)
(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
(b) Two years of Certificate Courses from a recognized Industrial Training Institute under the Craftsmanship Training Scheme in any of the following trades:
(i) Electrician or
(ii) Electronic Mechanic or
(ii) Electroplater or
(iv) Fitter or
(v) Instrument Mechanic or
(vi) Machinist or
(vii) Mechanic, Communication Equipment Maintenance.
(B) For remaining posts:
(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Institute or Board with knowledge of English.
(b) Should have completed Apprenticeship training in the relevant trade for the post.
OR
Mechanic or equivalent with two years of regular service in the appropriate Technical Branch of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The selection of candidates will be carried out as per extant guidelines promulgated by Competent Authority. The provisions are as follows:
(a) Screening of Applications – Indian Navy will not carry out detailed scrutiny of applications received online to allow candidates to appear for the examination. Detailed scrutiny of documents will be carried out at a subsequent stage.
(b) Shortlisting of Applications – All eligible candidates will normally be allowed to appear for selection purposes. If the number of applications received is too large in proportion to the vacancies, the Appointing Authority reserves the right to shortlist the applications, as deemed appropriate, and only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for the written test.
(c) Scheme of Written Examination – All eligible candidates will have to appear for the written examination consisting of objective-type questions. The test would be bilingual (English and Hindi) (except for General English).
Interested candidates who wish to apply for the given job posts are required to pay a fee of Rs. 205 (Rupees Two hundred and five only) through online mode by net banking or Visa / Master/ RuPay Credit / Debit Card/ UPI.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen category and women candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
