IT Department notifies new feature Challan Correction Functionality for Flexible Tax Payment Changes

The Income Tax Department has added a new function to his portal called “Challan Correction,” which may be accessed via the path Dashboard > Services > Challan Correction.

This feature allows taxpayers to change critical data such as the Assessment Year, Major Head, and Minor Head for payments such as Advance Tax, Self-Assessment Tax, and Regular Assessment Tax connected to Challans for the Assessment Year 2020-21 and after.

The change allows taxpayers to make required modifications to their tax payments, expediting the process and assuring correct reporting.
