IT Department raids at Rajasthan Minister’s Office

The Income Tax Department raided the office of Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Udai Lal Anjana in Udaipur on Saturday.

Anjana, the Congress nominee from Nimbahera constituency, was not there when the Income Tax Department team arrived, according to reports.

According to a source, six teams from the Income Tax Department searched the office of Cooperative Minister, Chetak Enterprises, which is involved in National Highway work.

Some documents were analysed by the Income Tax Department team. Anjana’s office personnel were allegedly shocked when the IT team arrived at around 4.30 p.m. on Saturday. The Police accompanied the IT team.

As per source, Anjana was campaigning in Nimbahera at the time of the raid. His office personnel was questioned and records were reviewed by the Income Tax Department.

When the media personnel arrived at Anjana’s office, the Income Tax officials turned off the lights and shut the office gate.

Three of the six information technology teams that went to the minister’s office left at 7.30 p.m.
