ITR Filing 2023: Income Tax Dept. processed 1.5 crore ITRs Out of 3 crore filed The Income Tax Department has been grateful to taxpayers and tax professionals for having helped them to reach the milestone of 3 crore Income Tax Returns (ITRs), 7 days early this year, compared to the preceding year. Over 3 crore ITRs for AY 2023-24 have already been filed as of July 18th, compared to 3 crore Income Tax Returns filed as of July 25th last year. 2.81 crore ITRs have been e-verified out of the 3.06 crore ITRs filed up to July 18, 2023, representing more than 91% of all ITRs filed. More than 1.50 crore ITRs have already been processed from the e-verified ITRs. So, IT Department want to keep the trend going and advise everyone who hasn't submitted their ITR for AY 2023-24 to do so as soon as possible to prevent a last-minute rush.
