JNU Recruitment 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is inviting interested and eligible candidates for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. As mentioned in the official notification of JNU Recruitment 2024, the candidates applying for the mentioned positions should have good academic records, teaching/ research experience and work in related areas of research. The educational qualification is different according to the posts and cadres. The opportunity is open to various categories. Qualifications and other conditions applicable are subject to UGC regulations 2018 and as amended from time to time.
According to the official notification of JNU Recruitment 2024, interested and eligible candidates can apply online by filling out the application form available on the official website of JNU and submitting it to the same. The applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of interviews conducted by the committee. As mentioned in the official notification of JNU Recruitment 2024, the applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs.2000 for General, OBC and EWS Category. There will be no application fee for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ ST and PWBD, Women candidates. The application fee will be non-refundable. The candidates have to attach all the relevant documents along with their applications.

Qualification Required according to the Posts and Cadres is as mentioned below:
Assistant Professor in Visual Studies:
The candidates should have a Master’s in Art History/ Arts and Aesthetics/ Visual Culture. Specialisation in Himalayan and Vajrayana Buddhist Art, and European Art.
Desirable:
The candidates should have a Ph.D./ M.Phil. in Art History specializing in Himalayan and Vajrayana art, European Art. Book/ chapters in Book/ Journal publications in the field of Specialisation.
Professor in Cinema Studies:
The candidates should have a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies/ Film Studies with a minimum of ten years of teaching and research experience. Publications can include authored monographs on film, and articles/ chapters in reputed Cinema/ Film Studies journals/ edited volumes. The Publication profile must display a significant contribution to the field of Indian Film/ Cinema Studies.
Associate Professor:
The candidates should have Medical Biotechnology, Diagnostic, and Genome Biology.
Professor:
The candidates should have a Ph.D. in any area of Natural Sciences/ Computer Science with a Specialisation in one or more of the following research areas:
Complex Systems, Mathematical Biology, Dynamical Systems, Statistical Mechanics of Living Systems.
Desirable:
The candidates must have demonstrated capabilities and experience quantifiable in terms of teaching, high-quality publications (at least 10 high-quality original research publications (not review papers) either as first author or corresponding author during the past 15 years and A short research proposal on the future research plan.
