Job Update: Compliance Consultant Vacancy at Target

Overview:

Target is hiring an experienced compliance consultant privacy operations at their Bangalore location. As a compliance consultant you will manage areas of the Privacy Compliance Program to ensure Target remains in compliance with our privacy and records regulatory obligations. This position will manage vendor audits with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that any personally identifiable information (PII) shared or sold to the vendors is stored, used and deleted in compliance with Target’s obligation under the California Consumer Privacy Act and such similar acts that may be passed from time to time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Execute third party audits to confirm the contractual obligations of the vendors are being met with regards to handling of PII shared or sold by Target

Collect required documentation from vendors to demonstrate compliance to contractual obligations on PII

Identify and report areas of opportunity in such obligations both to vendors and internal stakeholders

Follow up with external vendors to ensure that opportunities identified are closed in a timely manner

Collaborate with program leadership to support the continuous improvement of the third party audit program

In addition you would be expected to

Participate in department projects to drive efficiencies and eliminate opportunity for manual error by researching, vetting and implementing automation tools and technology

Identify relevant metrics and prepare regular reporting or presentations to department leadership to support decision making and track volume and trends.

Eligibility:

Four year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of experience within Privacy, Audit, Risk or other related Compliance functions, including specific exposure to privacy regulations (ie CCPA/GDPR); previous retail operations experience preferred

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively across departments and externally

Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and distill complex issues into actionable plans

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining appropriate prioritization and ensuring adherence to deadlines

Ability to apply discretion and sensitivity while working with confidential information

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team

Ability to adapt to change and navigate a dynamic, fast paced environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
