These changes will have an impact on your daily life, so keep in touch with new changes. June will bring changes to LPG cylinder consumption, bank holidays, Aadhaar updates, and driver's licenses. Key Changes taking effect from June 2024

Aadhar Card Update

Are you planning to update your Aadhar card? You can do that until June 14. Users can easily update their Aadhaar card online. If you opt to do it offline, you will need to pay Rs.50 for every update.

New Rules for Driving License

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways recently issued new regulations for obtaining a driving license in India. Beginning June 1, 2024, individuals will be able to take driving tests at private driving training facilities rather than government RTOs. These centres will be authorized to administer tests and provide certifications for license eligibility. The new rules also aim to cut pollution by eliminating around 900,000 old government vehicles and imposing stronger car emission limits. The fine for speeding stays between Rs.1,000 and Rs.2,000. However, if a minor is caught driving, they would face a significant fine of Rs.25,000. In addition, the vehicle owner's registration card will be cancelled, and the minor will be unable to obtain a license until they reach the age of 25.

Bank Holidays in June 2024

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a schedule of bank holidays, and banks will be closed for 10 days in June. This includes Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays. Other holidays in June include Raja Sankranti and Eid-ul-Adha. As a result, it is recommended that you should review the holiday schedule before visiting the bank.

LPG Cylinder Price

LPG cylinder prices are updated on the first of each month. On June 1, oil companies will announce new gas cylinder prices. These companies decreased commercial cylinder pricing in May, and it is possible that they will do so again in June. Additionally, like with every day, changes in the cost of petrol and diesel are expected on June 1.
