Key Updates on desicion taken in 30th GST Council meeting
Major decisions made by the GST Council in it's30th GST Council meeting were as follows:- Discussion was held on1% Pan-India tax in case of commodities.
- As per hon'able FMGST Tax collection is more than expected in case of North Eastern states.
- There has beenno change in GST rate of any product.
- No decision taken has been taken to bring Petrol & diesel under ambit of GST.
- An analyst panel will be formed that will research over GST collection across states.
- The proposal of the State of Kerala for imposition of Cess on SGST for rehabilitation and flood affected works was discussed in detail.The Council then decided to constitute a 7-Member Group of Ministers (GoM) to examine this issue in depth.
