Lucknow CAs Move to UP High Court Seeking Extension of Tax Audit Deadline
A Chartered Accountant (CA) of Lucknow and the Tax Practitioners Association has filed a writ petition (WP. No. 42187 of 2025) in the Uttar Pradesh High Court against the Union of India and Others (respondents), urging the high court to direct the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to extend the due date for filing the Tax Audit Report (TAR) for financial year 2024-25 (assessment year 2025-26).
Advocate Abhinav Mehrotra has titled the writ petition for urgent hearing before the Hon’ble High Court. The Hon’ble High Court was glad to announce that it has accepted the writ petition, and the final hearing is scheduled for tomorrow.
A chartered accountant (CA) named Himank Singla has also highlighted details of this writ petition on his Twitter handle.
