MCA Notifies Amendment to ROC Establishment Effective Date
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued a notification (S.O. 6112(E) dated December 30, 2025) announcing a change in a previous notification released under the Companies Act, 2013.
As per the notification, the central government, exercising its power given under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013, is making an amendment to the earlier notification released by the Government of India (S.O. 4850 (E), dated 23rd October, 2025).
This previous notification restructures and establishes new Registrar of Companies (ROCs) offices under the Companies Act, 2013. The date was initially set for January 1, 2026. This notification is being amended by S.O. 6112(E), which is revising the effective date to February 16, 2026.
