MCA Notifies Amendment in NFRA Part-Time Members Rules, 2022
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs recently shared a notification on January 13, 2026, regarding the appointment of Part-time members.
The Central Government, using its power given by section 132 (3) of the Companies Act 2013 (18), amends the National Financial Reporting Authority appointment of Part-time members, Rules 2022.
These new rules will be known as the National Financial Reporting Authority appointment of Part-time members (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
The National Financial Reporting Authority appointment of Part-time members, Rules, 2022, have been amended. The amendment involves substituting the previous members listed in Rule 2. The new members are:
- Shri Balamurugan D - Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs
- Shri Anand Mohan Bajaj - Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of India
- Ms. Sudha Balakrishnan - Chief Financial Officer at the Reserve Bank of India
- Shri Jeevan Sonparote - Executive Director at the Securities and Exchange Board of India
