To, Sir, Honourable Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs We have the privilege and honour to present this second part of the report of the Insolvency Law Committee, set up on 16th November, 2017, to make recommendations to the Government on adoption of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, 1997. The Committee had the benefit of comments received from public and has attempted to provide a comprehensive framework for this purpose based on the UNCITRAL Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency, 1997 which is proposed to be added as a part of the code. We thank you for providing us an opportunity to present our views on the said issue, for providing an internationally competitive and comprehensive insolvency framework for corporate debtors under the code.
