Khan Sir: You all must have come across the videos or shorts of Khan Sir while surfing on any platform on the Internet. Among the various YouTube channels dedicated to education, one man that stands out is Khan Sir. He has become a sensation on YouTube for his unique teaching style and ability to make complex concepts easy to understand. He is very popular among aspirants preparing for government jobs.

Khan sir is a General Studies Teacher who has over 10 years of teaching experience. He teaches subjects like History, Geography, International Relations, Current Affairs, and others. His youtube channel is named KHAN GS Research Centre which has over 20 million (2 crores) subscribers. What sets Khan Sir apart from other teachers on YouTube is his unique teaching style. He uses a combination of humor, practical examples, and real-life scenarios to teach complex topics. His teaching style is not only informative but also engaging, making it easier for students to grasp even the most challenging issues.

Today his educational videos garner millions of views but there was a time when he faced many difficulties in the coaching industry. Once he even sat at the banks of the Ganga until 2:30 am in the night due to desperation. In the early days, he thought of quitting the coaching field due to continuous setbacks and harassment from coaching mafias. His first coaching was usurped in just six months. According to him, he only had 40 rupees in his pocket while the fare to go home was 90 rupees.

Personal Details of Khan Sir

As per media reports, Khan Sir hails from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was very mischievous in his childhood. He used to live in a joint family. During his study period, Khan Sir’s family condition was not good financially. Because of this, Khan sir used to get only half pencils and used copies for studies. He used to collect blank pages and pens/pencils from a nearby college. Her mother used to attach collected blank pages together to make a text copy for him. He had to go through many financial hardships to complete his education. Khan Sir obtained his Bachelor’s degree (BSc) from Allahabad University.

Once A Defence Aspirant Now a Famous Teacher

Khan sir always wanted to join Defence Services. From his childhood days, he was inspired to join the Indian Defence Forces. In the 9th class, he gave an admission test for Sainik School but was not able to clear the same. After that, He gave NDA (National Defence Services) exam. He cleared the NDA exam but he was declared medically unfit for the forces. Due to his crooked hand, he was not able to join the forces. All his dreams were shattered and he felt hopeless at that point.

During his financial hardship period, his three friends- Sonu, Hemant, and Pawan helped him very much. They used to give their pocket money to Khan Sir. One of his friends, Hemant gave him the idea to teach students. He started giving home tuition to a student. That student topped the school. Then he started teaching at a coaching institute that initially had only six students. Gradually, students started to come due to his unique teaching style and he became famous. Then he started his own coaching center. In this way, he made his entry into the coaching industry.

He has a well-established offline coaching center in Patna, Bihar. Khan Sir started his own youtube channel in 2019 called KHAN GS Research Centre. From then, his channel grew exponentially, especially during the time of the COVID pandemic. He has even launched his app on the Google play store, which has received over 50 lakh downloads. He provides coaching at a very low fee. His vision is that any student of India, even from the poorest background, should not be denied an education because of his/her financial condition.
