Meet Nandini Agarwal; Youngest Female Chartered Accountant to set Guinness World Record

Nandini Agarwal was constantly in a rush. Jumping two grades in school, passing her Class 10 board examinations at the age of 13 and her 12th at the age of 15…. And, at 19, a Guinness World Record.

Nandini, from Morena, a tiny town in MP, has been named the world’s youngest female Chartered Accountant by Guinness World Records. While she was at it, she also topped the country in the CA finals.

She was 19 years and 330 days old when she accomplished this milestone on September 13, 2021.

Winning is in the blood. Sachin (21 at the time) was placed AIR 18th that year. Nandini topped the CA final in 2021 with a score of 614 out of 800 (76.75%), beating out 83,000 other applicants. Her brother scored 568 marks. “Our company is unique,” the siblings joked.

Nandini stated that a Guinness World Record holder visited her school when she was in class 11. “From then on, I dreamed of setting a difficult-to-break record,” Nandini explained.

She focused her thoughts and emotions on the difficult CA examination. She was so young that she struggled to find an apprenticeship. “Even small firms were not willing to hire me at the age of 16,” she explained. “However, such setbacks only strengthened my determination to overcome them,” she continued.

The siblings have a habit of becoming tops together. They graduated from Victor Convent School and received 94.5% in their Class 12 in 2017.

How did they wind up handing the boards together while being two years apart? “I jumped two classes early in childhood, and we’ve been classmates since class 2,” Nandini explained. They claimed that there was sibling support rather than rivalry. “In fact, my brother played a very important role in my success,” Nandini added. Naresh Chandra Gupta, their father, is a tax practitioner, and mother Dimple Gupta is a housewife.
