Microsoft is hiring an experienced Research Sciences Intern at their Bangalore location. Applicants should demonstrate depth of knowledge in Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Mining or Machine Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) as well as strong academia experience in data processing, experimentation, and modeling.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

• Analyze and improve performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets and cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
• Implement prototypes of scalable systems in AI applications.
• Collaborate closely with team members on developing systems from prototyping to production level.
• Develop solutions for real world, large-scale problems.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (complete or in progress) in relevant field
• OR Master’s Degree in relevant field
• OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant field
• OR equivalent experience.
• Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
• Experience participating in a top conference in relevant research domain.
