• Strong negotiation skills. Experience in SAP procurement tools such as ARIBA/S4Hana .Able to lead by example and share the IKEA values

• Good knowledge of industry and market specific conditions for Category

Your Responsibilities

• Together with the teams in the Category contribute to the implementation of the Strategic Sourcing agenda in the markets and/or categories by designing and building up of the new sourcing organisation to ensure that the IKEA Group direction and strategies are realised. Building long term supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance.
• The Market Purchaser should have worked in sourcing and strategy development for a portion of all IT and non-IT categories like Professional & Consulting Services, Hardware, Software, Facilities, fit out etc.).
• Have Experience in Civil, Structure, Interior, MEPF, Façade Packages etc. Responsible to lead and manage Project Procurement and Contracting for Packages related to green field projects / Retail Shops / warehouse developments.
• This position is responsible for leading supplier relationship development, including monitoring performance and driving value. The Purchaser will recommend and advise on best options for the business. Purchaser would also support in category related purchases as and when required.
• He/She/They will lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for their spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics, and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other user departments.
• This role will need to understand Procurement Policy, Systems and Processes to ensure proper procurement methodology is followed. This position reports to the Country Procurement Manager
• Build and maintain trustful relationships with business owners to align plans and drive performance and results
• Implement Category Plans by executing relevant action plans
• Execute sourcing projects according to the Source-to-Pay process and SAP Ariba, ensuring a strategic and professional approach to sourcing, using excellent negotiation skills to optimise and drive out costs and consider the end user for effective call off options as well as optimal invoicing channel
• Responsible to drive supplier management and supplier performance securing compliance of IWAY and the Code of Conduct
• Continuously monitor the supplier market and give input to business owners on sourcing options, supplier market, market trends and contribute to the development of the Category Plans
• Deliver business priorities by collaboration with colleagues across departments as one cross-functional team
• Responsible for the implementation and communication of the procurement strategy/category plan/strategic direction within the markets and/or categories
• Ensure added value and relevant solutions to meet customers’ needs.
